Our last AVnTech4Church webinar for 2021 ended with a resoundingly positive note. We embarked on this project, focused on helping the church community provide an impactful experience for their remote worshippers. Judging from the response we have had, we believe we have achieved our objective to help the community enhance their offering. The Last AVnTech4Church Webinar for the Year Ends

In this last AVnTech4Church webinar for the year, Robert Soo, Founder and Principal Consultant at Cogent Acoustics, demonstrated how a sound mix for a live stream can achieve better sound that was more realistic and engaging for the church members worshipping remotely. His live demonstration literally took his audience from a dry sound that was unmusical and unbalanced in tone and volume to a sound that was truly engaging by taking steps to widen the ‘sound stage’. The response from the audience about the presentation was outstanding!

QSC Names Jatan Shah President and

Chief Operating Officer

QSC is pleased to announce the promotion of Jatan Shah to President and Chief Operating Officer. In addition, Joe Pham has been named Chairman and CEO. Jatan joined QSC in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer and has since taken on additional responsibilities in various aspects of the business. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating and Technology Officer, where he led product strategy and development, operations, finance, and IT.

PIXERA Control Integrates PC-based Automation and Control Technology from Beckhoff

AV Stumpfl and automation specialist Beckhoff Automation recently announced their technology partnership. The aim of the collaboration is the integration of automation components from Beckhoff into the new show control system, PIXERA control. The new show control system was released only a few weeks ago. It enables specialist planners and system integrators to freely configure and create connections between a great number of AV and media technologies.

Xyte Extends Hardware-as-a-Service Cloud Platform with Field Operations App for Systems Integrators

Cloud services innovator Xyte has unveiled the newest extension to its Workplace by Xyte AV platform: the Field Operations mobile web application. Part of Xyte’s mission to streamline workflows for systems integrators and hardware manufacturers, the new app leverages QR codes to simplify the connection and information collection of deployed devices into end-customer environments within the Xyte platform.

Audinate to Acquire Silex Insight Video Business

Audinate, developer of the industry-leading Dante media networking technology, has signed an agreement to acquire the video business of Silex Insight SA (“Silex”), based in Belgium. The Silex video business produces video networking products for manufacturers of AV equipment. The acquisition includes a range of AV-over-IP products, including IP Cores, the VIPER Board, Video ASSP and Design Services, as well as three Silex implementations of video codecs: Colibri, JPEG 2000 and VC-2 HQ.
