The Professional Audio Visual & Lighting Integration Association (AVLIAS) Singapore, in partnership with Montgomery Asia, has announced the launch of the inaugural international exhibition Pro Integration Future Asia 2023 (PIFA 2023) from 26 - 28 June 2023 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. The exhibition's theme revolves around digital transformation at work, education and entertainment. Southeast Asia already has InfoComm Southeast Asia held in Bangkok and the Asia Tech x Singapore. Rumours are that the Sound, Light and Visual (SLV) exhibition will also return to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, next year. In a crowded exhibition space that includes international exhibitions, organisers must differentiate and highlight the value they bring to entice visitors to their event.

d&b audiotechnik Launches Soundscape Production Engineer Certification Programme in Hong Kong

d&b audiotechnik Greater China launched its first-ever official certification programme for pro-audio engineers using d&b Soundscape technology in Hong Kong in April. Named the Soundscape Production Engineer Certification Programme (SPEC), the five-day debut event saw Production Engineers, Sound Designers and Mixing Engineers successfully gain the newly created d&b certification. The programme delivered training in signal processing and audio object-based mixing and explored the possibilities of d&b Soundscape’s powerful En-Scene and En-Space software modules. It concluded with an examination to certify the participants as fully trained and ready to deliver high quality d&b Soundscape events.
