Optimal Audio Appoints Alex Barrand

A vastly experienced audio professional with an impressive background in audio engineering, design and installation, Alex cut his teeth on a number of large-scale festival installs before taking up the position of Head of Production at the iconic Ministry of Sound. During this period, he co-designed the legendary main room sound system with Martin Audio and gained valuable experience in the management of technical requests and budgets. In 2011 he moved to take up a global management position with Pioneer PRO AUDIO, focusing on product planning and development. According to Barrand, the opportunity to work with a new brand like Optimal Audio proved difficult to resist.

Expansion of Asian Distributor Network Proving Successful for HH Electronics

HH Electronics, a UK-based manufacturer of audio systems for the pro, MI and installed markets, and part of the Headstock Group of companies, has been busily expanding its distributor base across the Asia region during the last year. In partnership with Generation AV, the company continues to increase its presence and activity within this important market and highlights the appointments of Fast Technologies in Cambodia and DLPro in Vietnam as evidence of its intention to establish a firm footprint in the region.

Renkus-Heinz Partners with Beetech Inc. to Bring The Sound Solution to Japan

In a move to further strengthen its connections within the Japanese audio market and deliver on its promise to bring the best customer experience possible to every region, Renkus-Heinz has announced its newfound partnership with Japanese distributor Beetech Inc. To kick off the new partnership, Beetech Inc. exhibited Renkus-Heinz beam steering technology at Inter BEE 2022, which was held from November 16-18 at Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in Chiba, Japan.

GIANTSTEP is a content solutions company that produces some of the best visual content in Korea. The company specialises in using the latest innovative content technologies like AI-based virtual human production, real-time XR content, immersive real-time content and VFX. The company recently set up its XR studio. In this no holds barred interview, Choi Seong Ho, CTO of GIANTSTEP responsible for setting up the company’s XR Studio, comments, “To be honest, almost every process from design to operation was difficult.”

Jatan Shah, President and Chief Operating Officer, QSC, has been elected as Secretary-Treasurer of the Board by AVIXA membership. AVIXA members also elected to the Board Nyere Hollingsworth, Senior Manager for Collaboration and Productivity, Grainger, and Dorothy Di Stefano, Founder and Director of Molten Immersive Art. In addition, the Leadership Search Committee (LSC) appointed Brad Sousa, CTO, AVI Systems, and Bren Walker, Partner and Founding Principal of Integrated Systems Design, Kirkegaard, to AVIXA’s Board of Directors.

HARMAN Connect Day 2022 Addresses Growth Opportunities

The first HARMAN Connect Day 2022 took place at the InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 hotel on November 9, 2022. The event welcomed hundreds of guests representing dealers and system integrators that offer solutions for professional audio, video and lighting systems in Vietnam. Virtualized Q-SYS Control Processing Now Available
